A DEDICATED LIFE OF GREAT NAAMYOGI- SADGURU SHRI. VAMANRAO PAI

     PART-1

We know that since ancient times many great persons have contributed various amazing things to human mankind. Names of such great people are found in the pages of history. But many times we are not aware and have no knowledge about the kind of work done by them. If we look at the social and religious reforms happened in the past; we will find that many great saints, philosophers and social activists have played very important role in it. Therefore it is very essential that we should inform the society about the magnanimous work done by them. The biography of Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai is very inspirational, motivating and encouraging. He has gifted the innovative and immensely beneficial philosophy of Jivanvidya to the world, which has revolutionary thinking. He came in this world to unveil the secret of leading happy, successful, peaceful and contented life.

Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai was born on 21st October 1923 on the occasion of first day of Diwali in Angrewadi in Girgaon. He was frail when he was born hence all people in the family were extremely worried about his health but destiny had something else to store about him. A world has a Siddha Namyogi in the form of him who has gifted nectar of Jivanvidya to millions and millions of people. He has given mantra of how to lead a happy material life by doing material progress as well as have spiritual growth at the same time. His own life is the grand example of this.

Childhood and education: Most of his childhood was spent in Angrewadi. He used to enjoy playing with marbles, hide-n-seek, volleyball, table-tennis, kabaddi, cricket and chess. His favorite hobby was swimming in sea and flying kite. He used to participate in various indoor as well as games. He played cricket so well in one of the local match that he was carried by his playmates.
He had very good health as a result of his interest in sports. But when he entered in S.S.C. Class he became pretty serious with the studies. His intellectual ability to take proper decisions could be seen even at very early age. In 1940 he passed S.S.C. Examination with good marks. He entered Ruia College for his University education. In 1944 he passed B.A. (Economics) with Honors. Later he joined Maharashtra Govt. Service and retired as Deputy Finance Secretary in 1981.
Spiritual inspiration: In this context the year 1946 is a very important year which needs to be noted. He read book “Namjapache Mahatva” describing the importance of enchanting the name of God from the library in Dadar. He was so much influenced by the book that he got himself engrossed totally in Naam-jap. He progressed very rapidly in Nam-Sadhana. He started getting super physical experiences. As he advanced in his Sadhana he started experiencing bliss and divine love. Relentless Nam-jap became his way of living. We find many people who talk about the importance of enchanting the name of Lord but no one gets so engrossed in it unless he has done Sadhana in his past lives. Hence we hardly find somebody like Satguru Shriyut Wamanrao Pai who is lost in Nam-japa.
      H. H. Sadguru Shri. Nanamaharaj Shrigondekar’s senior disciple, the great devotee Shri. Dadasaheb Sabnis used to give pravachans in Swami Vivekananda Library at Dadar in Mumbai. Sadguru used to attend and listen very carefully to them. At that time H. H. Satguru Shri. Nanamaharaj Shrigondekar used to stay at Vitthal-Rakhumai temple at Shrigonda in Ahemednagar District. During this period H. H. Satguru Nanamaharaj Shrigondekar gave vision of miraculous experiences three times to Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai. He ordered him to come to Shrigonda. Accordingly, Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai went to meet him. In 1948 he was initiated into Nath Sampraday by his Sadguru and became his disciple. As a result of blessings from his Sadguru, his mind got transformed into Divine Consciousness and was blessed with great authority in Spirituality. Even then Sadguru considers himself as a Sadhak only. Sadguru Shri. Wamanrao Pai had many super physical experiences in his further Sadhana. One experience which Satguru Shri. Wamanrao Pai experienced when he was freshly initiated in Spirituality is noteworthy and is narrated here.
Around 9 o’clock at night. H. H. Sadguru Shri. Nanamaharaj Shrigondekar came near to Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai and said, “Look now I am going to sleep for while. You stay here massaging my feet. Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai started massaging guru’s feet as per his order. The night got over and it was 4 o’clock in the morning. Suddenly H. H. Satguru Shri. Nanamaharaj Shrigondekar got up and said, “Oh! Vamanrao, why are you sitting here?” Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai answered, “Maharaj as per your order I am sitting here massaging your feet.” Thereafter H. H. asked him about what time it had been. Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai answered, “It is 4 o’clock in the morning.” H.H. was greatly satisfied with the answer. Actually shriguru was awake because Satguru Shriyut Wamanrao Pai saw that H. H. got up from the bed the way the person who is awake gets up from the bed. This was the test of surrender for Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai and he passed it very gloriously. This resulted in wholehearted blessings from H. H. which resulted in accomplishing supreme authority in spirituality. Four months before H. H. took Samadhi Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai had another experience which was a turning event in his life.
In those days Shri. Dadasaheb Sabnis used to give pravachans at Spiritual Center, Gaondevi. He was a senior disciple of H. H. Satguru Shri. Nanamaharaj Shrigondekar. Shriguru Vamanrao Pai always used to attend his pravachans. Once Shriyut Dadasaheb went to Bhiwandi to attend function organised on the occasion of Birthday celebration of Saint Eknath Maharaj. Auditorium was packed with people. An idea came in the minds of some people that Satguru Shriyut Wamanrao Pai should give the pravachan in Dadasaheb place. Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai did not approve of the idea. First of all the audience was comprised of persons who were highly educated and were great scholars of spirituality, secondly till that time Satguru did not had enough experience of giving pravachans. But people were not ready to listen. At last Satguru had to take the seat of his elder Gurubandhu. He started giving pravachan after remembering his H. H. Satguru. During pravachan Satguru went in a ‘Divine trance’ where he was swimming in the infinite ocean of bliss of Chaitanya Shakti; no longer could people be seen by him and he lost sense of awareness of his body. He was speaking very fluently and rapidly. He realized that the one who speaks through body is somebody different. Audience got enchanted while listening to him. People lost awareness of time and place. They experienced bliss while hearing his pravachan which was a divine experience like drinking nectar. From that time onwards Sadguru started giving pravachan regularly. This was the beginning of his work in the field of spirituality. He informed this whole episode to his H.H. Shriguruji by writing letter to him. He asked for forgiveness from H. H. for giving pravachan without his consent. H. H. who is the love and kindness incarnate answered back in his letter, “I learnt from your letter that you gave the pravachan and people appreciated it very much, I am extremely happy to hear this news. Hereafter if you get any invitation for pravachan you take it as Sadguru’s order and accept it.” It is extremely important to note the importance of this event. Ego which resides in the heart of man is ‘kali’ which is like a serpent. As long as mind is not totally pure and devoid of any ego, it is not possible for anybody to have such divine experience. As a result of this experience he was blessed with the grace by H.H. Shriguru. He got inspiration from his guru who also gave full support to his Sadhana along with blessings. Thereafter he received overwhelming response and invitations from many places all over world for pravachans. His pravachans at places like Dadar, Matunga, Bandra, Worli, and all metros of Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nashik, Baroda, Indapur, Baramati, Paithan, Pandharpur, Konkan, Goa, Kashmir and also in U.S.A. and  U.K. became extremely popular. He has given many interviews in T.V. programs and participated in many conventions. Right now his weekly pravachan serial is going on T.V. named “Andharatun Prakashakade” means “from darkness towards the light.” This also means from pain and sorrows towards happiness and from ignorance towards knowledge. A daily radio serial is also on air named “Chintan ha Chintamani” which means “Thinking process is a precious jewel.”
In 1954-55 the great revolutionary and freedom fighter honorable Senapati Bapat used to come to attend his pravachans. This thing was not known to Sadguru for many days. When Senapati Bapat was introduced to him he invited Sadguru to his home with great respect. During this visit a great social worker Shrimati Yamunabai Hirlekar was also present. Satguru always remembers and mentions Senapati Bapat as a thorough gentleman who was extremely humble, learned and selfless man.
The beginning of Work of Spirituality: The year 1955 is very important from the point of view of work of Sadguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai. Late Shri Sahadeorao Kadam requested Shriguru Wamanrao to guide mill workers who were staying in Lalbag area. Accordingly his pravachans were started in ‘Social welfare Center.’ Later on this center was shifted to some other place hence Satguru was not sure about the new place for pravachan but he received several ‘Divine Messages’ from Deity Shri Hanuman to start pravachan in mill workers residential area so he decided to start pravachans in the same area and late Shri Bhaskarrao Yadav suggested him to start regular weekly pravachans in Hanuman Temple at Kalachowki in Mumbai.
The method and Style of Sadguru’s Pravachans: When Sadguru sits on the podium he speaks on any subject whichever is inspired to him by the grace of his Sadguru. He does not do any preparation prior to pravachans. He does not change a sitting posture till the pravachan is completed. While giving pravachan his diction is very clear. His language is so simple and easy that even child can grasp it. It appears that nectar is being showered on everybody through his words. His sight is always filled with love and compassion and his Divine mind is totally immersed in the ocean of bliss. Therefore his teaching touches the heart of all listeners. The intelligence of all listeners gets sharpened gradually over the period of time and their consciousness starts getting more and more developed. One experiences the exquisite joy and a Divine bliss which can never ever be experienced in material world. The wise listener realizes that there is immense power in his speech. He is blessed by his Satguru and there is lot of penance involved to attain this state. Hence when person listens to it again and again he changes from inside. He starts understanding the secrets and minute details of life gradually and slowly. His interest in spirituality gets developed and he starts liking and then his personality is developed from all sides. His life is changed totally and there is total revolution in his life. In every pravachan of his there is a divine experience which makes you aware that he is a self-realised Saint and there is always freshness, joy and novelty.
The Style of Satguru’s Kirtans: Satguru used to give Kirtans in Warkari style. While seeing his Kirtans about 10-15 thousands people used to lose awareness of time, place and body. Satguru used to sing abhangs (religious poems) written by various Saints and explain its meaning which people used to understand and enjoy and relish as if they were having a divine feast and the place of Kirtan would get transformed into heaven.
Satguru’s philosophy: In this machine age man’s life is become fast and extremely mechanical. As man is loosing moral values, he is also losing peace of mind and happiness. As a result man is becoming pessimistic, escapist and is becoming more and more dependent on destiny and has lost the confidence to find solutions for his problems on his own. He feels he is losing the battle of life now and then; hence blind faiths-beliefs and ignorance is ruling the minds of the people who are already depressed and dejected. In this circumstance Sadguru has shown the innovative path by which man can live his life harmoniously and make it most successful and happy.
His entire philosophy revolves around the principle that, ‘You are the architect of your destiny.’ In this message the word ‘You’ is very important and his teaching starts from there. The assumption that, ‘Whatever is predestined will ultimately happen in my life’ is totally wrong and ‘Whatever I decide will happen and has to happen in my life’ is totally correct. This is the second most important doctrine of Jivanvidya. The prime doctrine is always wish good, think good, do good actions and speak good because whatever you do to others at the level of body and will boomerang to you in multiplied and magnified proportion and this is the law of nature. Our sincere efforts, will power, auspicious thinking and remembrance of God with gratitude all this together can give us the ability to shape our life as per our choice. Sadguru’s philosophy has the fine amalgamation of psychology, parapsychology and spiritual science. God is the base of our life as well as the foundation of Jivanvidya’s philosophy. Sadguru guides us very well on various subjects like God, laws of nature, religion, destiny, culture, human mind etc. He enlightens us on all the subjects that are related to human mind and how an individual mind and collective mind of the society are inter-related to each other.
The people who are irritated and frustrated due to problems in day to day life loose faith in themselves; these are the people who are responsible for the prosperity of cunning Babas, Boovas, faked Sadhus and Bhagats. The people are harassed due to difficult circumstances and problems and are in search of some kind of miracle to happen in their lives. Hence they are victimized by cunning and wicked persons. Because of blind faith and ignorance and lack of wisdom these people get succumbed to them. Sadguru’s teaches us that, ‘we can shape our lives the way we want it to be’ and this has resulted in transformation of minds of people and hence stoppage of downfall of the lives of the people and revolution bringing success in their lives. He has destroyed blind faith and beliefs in society and in its place he has instilled the seeds of pure faith and self-confidence in their own capacity and ability. He has taught students, “How to be successful by sincere efforts and study.” This has enabled many students to score higher in their academic studies and made them fulfill their dreams of higher goals in all fields of their choices. Many people’s lives were full of miseries and it was getting devastated because of addiction to liquor, gambling and other vices. These people have given up their habits and are living happily now. As a result the number of people who are doing auspicious thinking and behaving wisely is on rise. Materialistic-money oriented attitude of the Western people or pessimistic attitude towards the life by few Indian philosophers and saints, both are not agreeable to Sadguru. He has advocated from time to time that we should find golden mean between excessive indulgence in gratification of organs and total sacrifice of worldly pleasures. This will help us in uniting with God. He has proved this doctrine by his own behavior and life.

A DEDICATED LIFE OF GREAT NAAMYOGI-SATGURU SHRI VAMANRAO PAI
PART-2

Guidance of Satguru: Satguru has set the paradigm through his own example for how to make best constructive use of knowledge and Sadhana which is accomplished by His Shriguru’s grace. His guidance is not like a boat which is traveling without sails or compass but it has the strong foundation of logic, self assessed doctrines and intelligence. More over it has very strong base of knowledge from scriptures, his Satguru’s-grace and self-experience. Therefore Sadhaks who come to him do not stumble in the darkness of ignorance but walk with great confidence in the light of knowledge and wisdom. Disciple when enters in the territory of Satguru’s grace he strikes very hard on ego of disciple which gets deeply wounded. As a result, size of ego is lessened gradually. Therefore Sadhak in this secret path of spirituality progresses rapidly.
Satguru explains the subject taken for pravachan in very easy language hence his disciples are always increasing in numbers. Many disciples are becoming expert in giving pravachans, Kirtans and Buddhiyoga. In these activities ladies are very much on forefront because of their enthusiasm. Satguru’s skill in teaching Buddhiyoga is very astonishing. Buddhiyoga means union of mind with God (chaitanya Shakti) using our intellect. Actually this field is the field beyond manifested world and there are no means to illustrate the subject by demonstrations. Even then Satguru has the skill and ability to make the Sadhak expert in this field of spiritual science. Satguru has achieved extraordinary success in the guidance of spiritual science. Therefore he has many disciples in Mumbai, Pune, Konkan, Goa, Karnataka, Nanded etc.
Satguru’s literature: Normally it is not possible for any disciple to guess the supreme mental status of his Satguru. The great Saints like Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai who remains in such an advance state of mind normally does not indulge in writing books. But Satguru’s pravachans in Hanuman temple were so much liked by the audience that people forced him to write a book on Haripath in Marathi called as ‘Dnyaneshacha Sandesh.’ Thereafter he has written Sarth Haripath, Namacha Nandadip, Jivanvidya Darshan, Amrut Manthan, Tuch Ahes Tujhya Jivanacha Shilpkar, Sukhi Jivanache Panchshil, Tumacha Utkarsh Tumachya Hatat, Sharir Sakshat Parameshwar, Jivanvidyecha Mangal Kalash, Vidyarthyana Margdarshan Jivanvidyeche, Striyashi Hitguj, Jivanvidya Samaj-Gairsamaj, Dharma Samaj-Gairsamaj, Satguru Samaj-Gairsamaj, Paap-Punya Samaj-Gairsamaj etc. in all 49 books. Many of his books are translated in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil etc. These books are written in such simple, easy and flowing language that even child can understand and grasp it. These books are popular in all strata of people and many editions of these books are printed till now and many thousands of copies of these books are sold every year. Besides this he has written many articles in various news papers and magazines. He gives pravachans for T.V. channels and radio programmes are broadcasted daily based on his philosophy.
Admiration of his work: Satguru beholds a magnanimous personality. Many philosophers-thinkers and honorable persons of the society have appreciated and acknowledged his work. Senior Journalist, dramatist, thinker and Member of Parliament Shri. Vidyadhar Gokhale said, “A nation comprises of people and intellectual and spiritual progress of all individual members of the society helps in progress of a nation. Hence the great work of Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai is eternal.” Noted Journalist and literary Shrimati Shirish Pai says that, “If you compare Satguru’s books with Del Connergie’s book ‘How to stop worrying and start thinking’; which is sold in thousands we realize that Satguru’s books are at much higher level; eye opening, guiding and throw light on the various complexities and perplexities of life.” Mumbai University’s Head of Department of Marathi Shri. V. D. Kulkarni says that, “In hectic life of this age of Science and Technology, it is impossible that man would have life oriented attitude and also as a result of politics and power competition, people are loosing the faith in life. At this juncture it is very essential to have authority and experienced personality like Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai who says that, “To live life is an art and Jeevanvidya teaches you how to master this art and live life full of joy and bliss by having purity of mind.” Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai has instilled the self-confidence and enthusiasm in man to live life. His work is not only religious but also a great work at national level. Today man needs great saints like Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai. The great philosopher, Late Shri. Datta Baal said, “I sincerely hope that the books written by Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai would be like lighthouse to modern man.” Editor of Marathi daily,‘Nava kaal’ Shri. Nilkanth Khadilkar has honored Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai by devoting editorial solely to him, his philosophy and work. He says that, “If leaders like Vamanrao who have clarity of thoughts would have been Shankaracharya of Hindu religion then our nation would have become stronger than U.S.A and Russia. From this we understand the importance of his life-time endeavor.”
Nature and personality: Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai has a quiet but bright and cheerful personality. In his eyes we get to see the cosmic power which is infinite. As he has sweet, quiet and playful nature he is attractive to even strangers. Therefore if anybody comes to him to argue he forgets to argue and instead agrees with him. He has sweet, humble and adorable nature. Once he was staying with his daughter for about 4 months in Canada; at that time his disciples had become desperate like fishes which are out of water. If disciple is in trouble he is full of tears. Satguru becomes very anxious till he is out of danger. Many disciples who had fallen in death trap say that it was only because of his grace that they got life.
]Family life: On 18th May 1948 he got married. His wife Mrs. Sharada Mai beholds very good nature and is lovable, supportive, hard working, clever, extremely sensible and has very good practical knowledge and hence she is playing lion’s share in successful life of Reverend Satguru. He has two children. His son Shri. Pralhad has B. Tech. degree from I.I.T. Pawai and is a G. M. in a company. His daughter in law Milan Tai is a graduate and is working as a officer with Reserve Bank of India. His grand son Nikhil is sweet, playful scholar and has brilliant academic record. He is C. A. and is officer working with Mahindra and Mahindra Company. Nikhil’s wife Priya is also well educated and is working. Satguru’s daughter Mrs. Malan Tai is also well educated and her husband Shri. Vidyadhar Kamat is an electrical engineer (B. E.) and has completed M. S. in U. S. A. He stayed in Canada for 20 years and after that he is settled in Goa. The couple has a son named Swapnil who is very sweet and he helps his father in his business. Satguru has very happy and content full family life. Though he has fame and glory, he is extremely humble and polite. His life is a harmonious blend of his Satguru’s grace, relentless efforts and amazing intelligence.
It is to be noted that Satguru Shri. Vamanrao Pai is giving pravachans and Kirtans since last 55 years but he does not take any honorarium for it. Likewise he does not take any royalty for writing books. Similarly he does not take any gurudakshina for spiritual guidance. His thinking is, “If people accept Jivanvidya and live happily with peace and content ness then that is a gurudakshina for me.” His venture is not merely a religious work but it is a great social endeavor which is helping the whole mankind.
Social-National-Universal Endeavor: Satguru is not only a spiritual guide but he is a national saint who toils hard for making social reforms which are extremely beneficial to society and good for national progress.
People in our country have understood the importance of family planning now. At present government is making sincere efforts by all means and ways. But Sadguru had valued the importance of family planning long ago. He was advocating family planning about 17 years before Government started canvassing for it. In 1954 Satguru backed family planning in his pravachan at Lalbag. In those days it was very much ahead of the time and revolutionary to talk on this subject. Many times he expresses his views on politics without any hesitation in his pravachans and also in books. He guides students from time to time which help them in gaining academic excellence. The Universal Prayer is prepared by him and has well wishes for whole mankind. It is sung daily in many schools in Mumbai and other places in Maharashtra. He and his disciples are campaigning in mass scale against blind faith and beliefs and also against various addictions which are rampant in our Indian society and many people are entrapped in it and are suffering because of them. As a result of his efforts many people are developing pure faith and self-confidence; therefore they are breaking age old customs and traditions which are inappropriate and ridiculous. Many addicted persons are abstaining from addictions and are living happy family life. From the following example you would understand and realise how these age-old customs were broken by Satguru.
There was wedding of a son of one of the disciple of Satguru. In this marriage ceremony no rituals were performed and the priest was also not present. In brief there was no ritual or custom was followed as per the traditions. This wedding was arranged as per the Satguru’s inspiration. In the beginning the bride and bridegroom took the blessings from Satguru and then garlanded him. There after ‘Upasana Yandya’ was performed. ‘Upasana Yandya’ means enchanting the name of God by 11 ways. After the completion of ‘Upasana Yandya’ bride and bridegroom garlanded each other while the auspicious hymns of universal prayers were being enchanted. After this ceremony the bride and bridegroom walked between the rows of disciples who were standing on both the sides of path. People showered the couple with flower petals as they were passing through. No gifts were accepted by the wedded couple but the well wishes were the most valuable present for them. This couple is happily married and has a son. When the all things in the market are becoming dearer day by day, by avoiding plush expenses, this wedding was organized in the most exclusive way. This way Satguru showed the most innovative way to perform a wedding ceremony. Now many couples are following this method of having wedding ceremony and many marriages are done in this manner on dear Mai’s Birthday on 16th April every year.
Once Satguru went along with his wife to attend a function at a village called as ‘Chinchani’. He was invited at one of the disciple’s home. At that time all devotees in the house bowed to him and garlanded him to welcome. The women devotees in the house wished to welcome Mai- Satguru’s wife by offering oti to her. (Gift of saree, blouse-piece, coconut etc.-it is offered to married women to show respect) but as they were all widows in the family these women were hesitating to offer. Both the elderly woman and her daughter-in-law started searching for a suvasini (a married woman whose husband is alive) in the neighborhoods. Looking at their restlessness and hustle-bustle Satguru asked them, “What is bothering you all? Who wishes to welcome Mai? Whoever wishes to offer oti to Mai should go ahead with it and there is no problem in it.” The daughter-in-law was amazed to hear this because she was a widow. As Satguru insisted to her, she joyously offered the oti to Mai with tearful eyes and heavy heart. In this manner Satguru has taken many decisions which are ahead of the time. One more example of such occasion was observed when he had visited the home of one of his disciple when his mother had passed away. As soon as Satguru entered the house, all the members of the house came to greet him. He noticed that though the three daughter-in-law of the house were Suvasinis they had not put kumkum tilak on their forehead. He asked the reason of their behavior. They told him that it was custom in their caste not to apply kumkum for 13 days when any member of the family expires. Satguru asked them not to follow such weird custom which is not present even in other castes. He further said that if you feel you will get sins for such behavior then you send the parcel of sins to me I will accept it.
Once Satguru had gone to Nanded for Pravachan programme. When he went there he came to know that father of one of the disciple expired recently. He observed that none of the family members of this devotee came to attend the Pravachan. H. H. Satguru went to visit them. He noticed that though all the members of the family were well educated none of them was attending their routine professional work. When he enquired about this in detail he came to know that in their caste it is custom that after the death of a family member all the members of the family should not leave the house for 13 days. Hence in a flat which had 2 bedrooms, six sons with their wives and children were gathered and were staying together. Out of these sons, one was a C. A. the other was a Doctor, 2 others were engineers and remaining 2 were having independent businesses. It was the month of March and usually C.A. s have many urgent jobs in this month. Engineer brothers had their factories to run. Though all these people had so much of work to do, still they were locked up in the house due to an age-old custom. Satguru emphatically told them, “It is not at all wise to follow such customs. It is inappropriate to leave all your jobs and duties sit at home like this; besides such custom is not advocated by our religious scriptures.” Satguru further said that he was at home for 2 days when his father expired because many people were coming home for condolence. After third day he started attending office. He gave his own example and asked to join the work next day onwards.
There is one more tradition which is prevalent in Hindus. Widows can not do arati and bless their brothers in Diwali. This custom is followed as a result of ignorance and blind faith. H. H. does not approve of this custom and has always condemned this custom. Many times in our Hindu society, a woman is held responsible for the death of her husband hence she is prohibited from doing aarati to anybody. This custom is meaningless, absurd and is the sign of utter foolishness because no one can decide or predict a man’s life and hence this custom should be stopped. How that only a woman is held responsible for the death of a man? The answer to this can not be given by even by God. There are many members in the family which include husband’s father-mother, brother-sister etc.; and then how come these other members are not held responsible for his death. In brief, this custom is a great injustice to the whole women kingdom. Satguru’s sister is a widow. Every year he requests her to do aarati and bless him but she is not ready to break the custom. Satguru earnestly wants to stop this custom. In this manner Satguru at first enlightens the people about the meaningless customs and keeps new standards in front of them.
Satguru never discriminates anybody on the basis of caste. Satguru went to Solapur for Pravachan. He was invited for lunch by many upper caste devotees. In spite of this he took time to visit lower caste disciple’s house. Satguru has a large heart and a divine mind which created many social reforms. Many sages, rishis and saints have guided our nation spiritually and socially. Satguru has the personality which is befitting to our ancient culture and traditions.
If we have to say in brief his endeavor is not only a religious or spiritual work but it is a social work for the betterment of our nation and the whole universe, for which every one of us should be proud of. There is no doubt that his successful, ideal and divine life is a source of inspiration to the present and future generations and it will be guiding us like a tall lighthouse for ever in our lives. Such great men are borne once in many centuries and they support and guide this world which is flowing downwards towards more and more gratification of sense organs. Thus he is one of the great legendaries of this world. We offer many millions and millions of salutations  to him. May he have healthy long prolific life!
