"As I walked up an open road
That ran besides a river's brim
I met a man in sorry rags
And pitied him
I pitied not his sorry rags
His shabby coat, his broken hat
But his dull, angry, frowning face
I pitied that.
By him the skylark was not heard
For him, the river did not run
I think he did not even feel
The morning Sun.
Shut-in by sin and self
The soul is prisoned in a dungeon deep
And there shut out by God and man
Dies in a sleep.
--Robert Burns ( I think. Could be wrong)

CLARIFICATION
In my last post (above) I have used the word Eershaa.
A senior member politely (by a personal message) made me aware that I might be using the wrong word. I take this opportunity to apologise.
The word Eersha struck me as the right word to describe what I felt very often while I browsed through various posts in various topics. I now realise that it could lead to a mis-understanding. I definitely do not mean it in the sense of jealousy (or matsar), but in the sense of a very deep, genuine urge to seek the meaning of verious terms used in JeevanVidya, to the level where one loses peace with oneself, begins to hate oneself for not achieving the knowledge.
I feel that an unquenchable thirst (for anything, including knowledge) is the biggest hurdle to progress.
I am sorry if I have used the wrong word.
I thank the member who pointed it out.

MK,
liked the poem. Liked the ideation. JeevanPrakruti - good. Personal opinion - eersha word usage is fine.
If you are chanting the prayer - it only proves a fact that pattern of your subconscious mind is SATVIK. Good signs. Not easy to achieve this one.
Posts by Mr. Sham Bhagwat and Ms. Datar were good reads as well.
Believe we all bring different perspectives to the table that is where this forum is helping us.
God bless all,
Subhash
