साधनेने प्राप्त सिद्धी ही साध्य नाही साधन

« on: January 12, 2008, 07:33:44 AM »

Namonamah,

I am interested in the process of doing maanaspooja. I have read elsewhere on this forum the process followed. I have two questions.
1. Does not this give an unnecessary sanctity to the actual pooja done for a deity?
2. Does not performing maanaspooja have the danger of getting one to indulge in diwaaswapnas in day-to-day life?

Thanks and regards

Namskaar,

Manaspooja can be done about anybody about whom we have gratitude and feel need to express gratitude and wish to take blessings from that deity. Manaspooja can be done of our mother, father, teacher or any deity whom you wish to worship besides Shri. Satguru.

1)   If you feel that you are giving unnecessary sanctity to the deity then how can you do manaspooja?  We should have immense respect, feeling of indebt ness and gratitude about the deity whom we wish to worship. Otherwise you can not do manaspooja.

2)   Most of us do day dreaming. Jeevanvidya teaches you the proper technique of day dreaming-also called as visualization technique. This is beautifully taught in Swanand yoga course. Day-dreaming or diwa swapn is not bad provided it is done for good purpose and should know its immense potential in changing our life. ( I strongly recommend to do course for this. All those who do the course say that I should have gained this knowledge much earlier in my life.)

Mind is extremely unstable. ?Achapal man majhe na avare awarita.? says Samarth Ramadsa.
When we do Manas pooja regularly our mind gets gradually trained. Normally it is difficult for anybody to make mind obey our desire. But as we master this technique our mind does what we ask it to do. Hence this manas pooja helps in controlling our conscious mind.

Gratitude is punya says JV. Manaspooja is way of gratitude so anybody who does manaspooja gains lot of punya.

We remain in very good thoughts-positive thoughts during this pooja hence that gives punya to us.
Thinking about Satguru is thinking about divinity-God, so it gives punya to us.
Satguru disciples experience that every moment in their life is divine gift of Shri Satguru so they can not express their gratitude in words and wishes to offer all the best things in the world to their beloved deity and manaspooja is the way to offer and be close mentally with him. The one who does this manas pooja is blessed by showers of bliss.

MK,

few points on Manaspooja (JV has accepted all UPASANA-PADDHATI without UPADHI):

1. It does not require any INSTRUMENT or UPADHI. It can be done by rich or poor alike. In real world if a rich person is ready to put a Rs. 50K garland to Ganeshji then a poor person can not may be in spite of having more intense feeling. This is not a limitation. + you can give any NAIVEDYA any time of the year (season/country is no bar - you can offer mangoes in the month of Dec or offer kiwifruits from wherever you are - need not be in NZ, etc.)

2. It is not DIVA-SWAPNA. It is meditation by visualization. You are connecting with your subconscious through intense gratitude towards somebody whose poojan you are doing.

3. It is a very important tool to train your mind - most of the time you do what your mind tells you. In this sadhana, you ensure your mind does what you are telling it. This way over a period of time - you achieve control over your mind.

4. You are doing good feeding to your subconscious mind. This will help change the pattern of your subconscious mind.

5. You will get loads of Punya because of your gratitude.

6. You can use Manaspooja for autosuggestion. e.g. One person's daughter was sick and hospitalized and was in critical condition. I told him to do Manaspooja and see that he is giving a good news to Satguru that his daughter is fine now. He did that over and over again and was free of lot of negative thoughts during that occasion. This is law of replacement. Of course his daughter recovered after the doctor's treatment few days later. But power of subconscious mind was diverted positively for sure. At least the negative influence was avoided.

7. Your concentration and focus increases over a period of time.

8. Since you are doing it in mind, real person's AHANKARA does not increase. If you do it reality it might increase.

9. Since you think good about others, you receive good in return from the person whose manaspooja you are doing.

10. If you do manaspooja of Satguru - you are actually contemplating on Divine and as SANT TUKARAM maharaj says - JYACHE JAYA DHYAANA TECHI HOYA TYACHE MANA. We are actually doing DIVYASADHANA when we do SATGURU-MANASPOOJA with lot of devotion.

JV has accepted few traditions with reason and this is definitely one of them. Sant Tukaram Maharaj has also said in one of his ABHANGAS : Karavi Hey Pooja Manechi Uttama, laukikache kaama kaya ase?

God bless all,
Subhash
