Hi All
I am just new member to JV community. I am good with English but ok with marathi.  So most of the times I could not grasp the marathi meanings presented my many devotees.
I strongly feel the VP prayer is good for all of us. as far as hari panth or other thign goes. i feel everybody can chant whatever they feel like. Since Our mission is not religion specific. so it can be vithal or om namah shivay or jai ambe or hari om or jesus or allah. so people can take such namsmaran and do meditation. people can chant vishnu sasranamam which is similar to hari panth. it is up to individual. but dont forget to chant VP

Welcome to forum Sridhar.

I try to present most of the things in English. However have to take help of some SANSKRIT words because of lack of apt or appropriate word in English. Will try to keep in mind.

By the way, can you let us know the translation of VP in your language? I will at least rut the pronounciation if I meet anybody from Tamil (Or Kerala?).

Thanks and regards,
Subhash

God Bless All.

Hello Shridhar,

Welcome to jeevan vidya forum. You can discuss any topic over here.  Please do not hesitate. Have you listened to Satguru's pravachans in english? Two pravachans can be downloaded  from the site. Many books are translated in english and you can read them. Some discussions are done in english, while others are done in marathi. Marathi being mother tongue of most of the members, they are more comfortable with Marathi and hence it is used often. But anyone can start discussion in english and he/she is welcome on the forum.

Namonamah,
Shridharjee Namaste,

English is perfectly OK here. I would suggest that you start posting in your own mother tongue. Even if we don't follow it, it is OK (You can summarise it in English for us!). But it would definitely enrich the forum. By and by we would start appreciating konjum konjum Tamil.

A friend often chants this:
ARUL PERUN JYOTHI                                                                         Supreme grace light
ARUL PERUN JYOTHI                                                                         Supreme grace light
TANNI PERUN KARUNAI                                                                     Pour down mercy upon us
ARUL PERUN JYOTHI                                                                         Supreme grace light

related to Ramalingam (Vallalar) (sanmarga) tradition. And I chant it too, every now and then, without bothering about whatever its deep meaning may be.

The other aspect of your post is something which I am curious about. The nett effect of it could be extended to "chant whatever you will, it will work". I am not sure of JV's stance on it, yet.

Welcome, and best wishes
Milind Khadilkar
