Namaskar Omkar jee, MK jee and all,

Shri Sadguru has explained why we should not wait for Satguru to trace and visit us but we should search and surrender real Shri Satguru without wasting time for our spiritual progress. All this you can read in his book "Amrut Manthan" pg-194-5.

May everybody be blessed with relentless chanting of VP!

I have used this name for some "parmarthic pragati!!"
my question was not weather sadguru should come to me or I should go to sadguru !
  my question was
1] Weather sadguru in past births help us?
2] It is better to choosen by sadguru than we choose them?
3] If we choose wrong person we may get cheated? Do you have any remedy for this?

Thanks JV Thanks all members Thanks you

tO,
Omkar,

Please refer a book called"Sadguru -samaj,gaisamaj"written by sadguru.

You are right .We have to choose a right person as our sadguru .For that we should do a genuine research.Sadguru himself has highlighted this. A real sadguru is ,a person who is "Shabde parechi nishnat".
we can transfer ourselves from one sadguru to another till we get real sadguru.

sadguru Wamanrao Pai is such a kind of Sadguru. We feel proud to have him as our Sadguru.

thanking you

Meena
May God bless all

Dear All,

This is really very helpful topic for me.
I am new to Jeevan Vidya.
Though I have been bought up with ?tuch ahes tuzya jeewanacha shilpakar? philosophy, my family is not anugrahit of JV.
I will be soon marrying in Jeevan Vidya family though.
I am raised in very free thinking family, where we children had freedom to choose our gods and /or methods of Upasana or anything of that sort.
Our parents encouraged us to study the situations and take our own decisions and face the consequences of our acts.
But now I am little confused. My in-laws want me to take Anugrah.
I want to study Jeevan Vidya, understand its philosophy and see what difference did it make in my new house. But if I choose that route I may hurt my parents-in-law and my would-be-husband as well. I am really distressed with this situation. I personally feel that if I take anugrah just for the sake of it, it will be ?Pratarana? to Satguru and Jeevna Vidya and Myself as well?

Kruapaya mala sanga me ?khare? wagawe ki niwwal ?bare? wagawe..

God Bless you all.

Namonamah,

Welcome, Gargijee.

I understand your predicament and wish that through this forum (or otherwise) you will get the strength to take your decision in the best interest of all concerned.

Personally, not being a JV member, my views will not be representative. But here goes! I feel that

0. going by what you wrote about the way your parents have raised you, probably you already follow JV in spirit
1. a true JV family wil not impose its belief on you.
2. adopting JV, even without complete faith, will not hamper your freedom of thought in any way.
3. adopting JV and practising JV without complete faith will convert JV into a mere ritual and that is not what JV would like.
4. taking anugrah will not harm you. It will probably be helpful to you in your decisionmaking.
5. you should personally meet Pai Mahaaraaj. I feel he will give your would-be-inlaws the necessary chaanglee buddhee.
6. You need not be afraid anymore of your would-be-in-laws becoming displeased. If they are members/visitors on this forum and read your post, they could already be displeased by now!!!! So, buck up! You have nothing to lose now.

To answer your actual question: Khare ki bare? I feel whatever you decide will eventually be both. You have the power to make it so, being the architect of your own destiny!
It was nice to read of the way your parents gave you the freedom of belief and the way you are ever-conscious of this and thankful to them. Take care of this treasure.

Senior JV members on the forum will of course guide you better!

My best wishes to you.

Namaskar Gargi,

Before taking anugrah I would advise you to read books written by Shri Satguru. Please read Tuch ahes tuzya jeevanacha shilpakar, Jeevanvidyecha Mangal Kalash, paap-puny samaj-gairsamaj, jeevanvidya samaj-gairsaj etc.

I think, if you tell in laws that you require some time before taking anugrah, first you will read the books and understand the philosophy and then you would decide about anugrah then it should be fine with them.

You can do the basic course of JV-Swanand yog Part-One. In about 2-1/2 days, you will understand a lot about JV philosophy. You can do registration at Boriwali office.

JV philosophy is nectar, whoever understands this feels blessed in his/her life. Please spend some time to understand it.

May God bless all!

Dear Milindji,

Thankfully only my finace is using this forum and he too rarely appears here.. Smiley
I am not afraid of anybody but in long term its my family life which is at stake.
I just want to mention  one thought by Swami Vivekananda here..
'I am sure God will pardon a man who will use his reason and can not believe Him rather than a man who believes blindly instead of using the faculties He has given to him.'

So,before I take anugrah I will definitely do my 'Abhyas' and then only decide about it.
But for that I will need the guidance from those who are studying and understanding JV since long time.

Once again Milindji and Nootanji,
thanks a lot for your understanding and encouragement.

Prayers and Regards,
Gargi

Namskar Nutanji,

Yesterday, I read your post about
 'लोकांना असे वाटते की, योग जेव्हा येतो तेव्हा सदगुरू घरी चालून येतात.'

Even I was intrigued by this statement whenever I heard it.

So when I got chance to ask Scholar who has been studying Religions, Philosophies and Sant-sahitya etc for a long time he explained me this..

Though the meaning of above statement is almost like is 'Asel maza hari tre deil Khatlyawari', it is not what expected to be interpreted.
No philosophy/religion says that it's easy to find God/Guru.
You have to study different religions, philosophies, sant wangamaya and think about it wisely and then choose your own path.
This is the right way to find your satguru..
(satguru is not going to come to your door steps or in your dreams or anything, 'abhays'and 'sadhana' is the only way to do that)

But when you put that much effort and you study that much ,you become wise and educated and may start feeling like you are the ?Buddha?.
As we all know that arrogance is basic cause of ignorance ; just to keep you modest and down-to-earth you should not take the credit of finding Guru and give that credit (mothepan) to the Guru you found.
Hence saying ?me Guruna shodhale nahi ter satgurukrupa zali ani Guru ni mala shodhale?
It is just to make sure that you don?t start feeling like God yourself .
Manasane he lakshat thewawe ki ?Karta Karwita ha Parameshwar ahe ani me niwwal tyache Sadhan?  ani tyaanusar apale acharan thewawe ewhadhach hya magacha hetu ahe..

I know that, JV also talks about shabdartha, bhavartha, gudhyartha of Updesh so same rule applies here.

I thought it is the explanation worth sharing hence this effort.

Prayers,
Gargi

Namonamah,
Gargijee_Pandit, Namaste.
It is this kind of arrogance, the pride in taking credit (meech aahe maajhya jeevanaachaa shilpakaar) and realization of myself as God that JV differentiates itself. It is JV's USP!

However, could you post the link to Dr. Nutanjee's post?

Thanks and best wishes

Namskar Milindji,

I don't think JV is trying to be arrogant by saying 'Tuch ahes tuzya jeevancha Shilpakar'.
and after all , JV is not the one telling this first time.. As

Each man is the architect of his own fortune is said by  Roman censor Appius Claudius Caecus (4th-3rd Century, BC) in his verces.

Swami Vivekananda said ,
'History of the world is the history of a few men who had faith in themselves. Whatever you think , that you will be. If you think yourselves weak, weak you will be. If you think yourself strong, strong you will be'

I dont think any of them above wanted us to be arrogant but yes confident for sure.

Prayers,
Gargi
