Namonamah, Omkarjee, your question is a representative one. Not just because many others, including me, face this problem but also because normal life is no less than any exam. Read about "nivant" ness in JV literature and on this forum and apply it in this context. That might be a big task itself, so you could instead get off the jnaanamaarg (and get on to bhaktimaarg if you must) for adhyaatmic fulfilment. Keep the jnaanamaarg reserved for your studies. A personal, open, consultation with your nears and dears and with those you rever might give you the necessary solace. Besides, if you like the subjects you need to study for your exams and if success in the exam (or the fruit it leads to) is something you really desire, you should face no problems. So concentrate on liking the subject and having that burning desire.
। (बच्चन)
May you achieve your madhushaalaa!!
However, I have no anubhooti. Senior JV members on the forum would of course give you better and more authentic guidance.
Best wishes Milind Khadilkar

Vitthal Vitthal Omkar..... ! Well this is my technique when i don feel like studyin...or i'm bored...! (1) first i calculate the days....remaining for xams..den i calculate the time wch i'm goin 2 study...! (2) Hw many subjects you have...?? how many chapters..? how many pages..2 read..how much portion 2 cover..and how many revisions 2 grasp the subject...! how much period is required to do all this. (3) Calculate everything..! See the difference.... Now the best part is....automatically you'll be tensed and start studyin..and yess think abt the benefits of passing and consequences of failing..! All d best 4 your xams....god bless you...god bless all......!!!!

Hello Omkar,
I will also follow Siddhi's approch before attempting the exam. But 2 more things I would like to add up.
1. Visualise before going to sleep that u r going to top in the exam.Imagine with closed eyes that u have received ur marklist n u r very happy(feel the happiness) or u r winning award etc.Do it everyday.
2.In order to develop interest in the subject, say few sentences 'I love maths','maths is so interesting subject'(likewise u can say for other subjects) loudly to urself in free time. This works.
Wish you all the Best!

Namaskar Omkar,
You have posted beautiful stories and poems. Thank you for that!
You can pray to God that, all those who are studying may be blessed with concentration in their studies. Thank God before starting your studies for whatever good things you have received in your life. Thank all those people (parents, relatives, friends, teachers, spiritual Guru and others) who have helped in your life. All this you can do for 5 minutes every day. This will calm your mind and mind will be filled with all positive thoughts. Think about various things which you are likely to do to help others after completion of your studies. When we have genuine desire to help all, the whole universe conspires to help us.
Various good things you are likely to receive after successful completion of your studies. Like Varsha said, imagine and feel the joy of celebration of your success now only, and go in a trance like Washington!
All the best wishes for your exams!

Namaskar Omkar,
This problem is faced by all. So you are not alone.
As rightly pointed out by Milindjee, you should like the subject in which you are going to take exam. So you should do something to generate interest or liking for that subject. If necessary seek guidance of some expert in that subject. THat can help you to generate interest in that subject.
Of course to achieve sufficient "Nivant" state to concentrate in your studies, VP or namasmaran synchronised with breathing will help. It is difficult to explain here. You should learn that from somebody who already knows how to do it. If youare residing in Mumbai or Pune, you can attend one of the branch programme to meet somebody who can teach it. Though you have not taken Anugrah, still you can learn it from somebody.
If you take anugrah, you can learn more techniques. Make sure you do your sadhana under guidance of somebody.
YOU MAY NEED TO KEEP AWAY FROM INTERNET AND BLOGS UNTIL YOU FINISH YOUR EXAM.
Wish you all the best, Deepak Mahadeshwar.
