Namonamah,
Thanks, Dr. Nutanjee. I request all to: 1. Please read the book from the point of view of an 8 year old. 2. Again, read the book from the point of view of an 18 year old. I think you will realize that it contains a lot of material that is irrelevant to each age group. For example, the following questions seem irrelevant (even dangerous) for 8 year olds:2,4, 7, 18, 20, 22, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40, 43, 46; Questions 3, 5, 9 are irrelevant for 18 year olds.
A big problem with this book is rather than giving a solution, it explains the reasons for the problems, which are inconsistent with the "solution in the circumstances" philosophy of JV. For example, Qs. 31, 35, 36, 38. Also, some questions (or rather their answers) do not seem relevant to our times: e.g., 11, 12, 13
Also, the book stresses on self-employment/business to an extent that is unrealistic. It does not take into account personal factors, including personal likes and dislikes. Besides, telling a child not to bother about a job because of competition is just shifting the competition from college life to professional life.
Are children of JV members raised on this book?
Again, please read the book from the point of view of a 25-35 year old. This is the most likely agegroup of visitors to JV website. This book, being freely downloadable from the website, is likely to contribute to the early impression a curious visitor to the website would form about JV. Is this the right first impression a person should have of JV? Thanks and regards Milind Khadilkar
