Thanks Neelam.
The number of stars depend upon the number of posts made by a person and status such as moderator / administrator.

I will try to upload the photos you have mentioned.

Shri. Nikhil Pai
Namaskar,

I am a new member joined today. Is it possible to post my querries in marathi? How? Is there any facility to change the font?
My english is poor. Hence I will not be able to post my querries in engilsh and that also on the subject of philosopy of JeevanVidya.

I am asking this because Shri Amitji has posted his reply in marathi.(Reply #8).

You have highly obliged me by providing this buautiful/very advanced/professional tool to post my querries in future. I am a deaf person (more than 65%) and therefore I always prefer to email or blogs.

with regards

P S Bhagwat

नमस्कार भागवत साहेब,

खाली मी मराठीत लिहिण्यासाठी काय करावे ह्याची सूची दिली आहे. ही सूची Windows 2000 users साठी उपयोगी पडेल.

  • Go to Control Panel -> Regional Options
  • Select "Indic" under "Language settings for the system"
  • Click "OK", the system will ask you to restart
  • Restart the system
  • Install Baraha 6.0 from http://www.baraha.com
  • Start Baraha Direct 6.0 and press F12
  • In the configuration screen select "Marathi" as Indian language and UNICODE as Output format
  • Whenever you want to type in Marathi press F11 and then type (press F11 again to type in English). Note that you don't need to select any special font for doing this. You can type in Marathi at almost anywhere like in notepad, Start Menu->Run edit box, MS Word etc.
  • Don't use non-standard browsers that use engines of IE/Netscape in the background (e.g. Deepnet Explorer). I have found out that the edit box under Deepnet Explorer prints ?? characters instead of devnagari characters.

Happy editing... Smiley

धन्यवाद,
अमित.

Shri. Nikhil Pai,
Namaskar,

1) A guest can View the members profile and other statistics. I feel that this facility should not be available to the guest. The register user if logged in, will be able to access this facility.

2) I appreciate for providing Spell checker facility. This will certainly help me.

3) Preview button shows the preview along with regenerating the editor. It takes time for dial up connection. I feel that if preview is generated in separate window (as in the case of spell checker) with a <back> button, It will eliminate the need of regenerating the editor window. Just pressing the back button the window will be closed and user will be back in editor window (as in the case of spell checker)

4) Convey thanks to shri. Amitji for his prompt reply. I am doing the needful for marathi typing.  I have ISM Soft 5.0 of CDAC. Will it work with this editor?

Please excuse me if I am wrong as I am not a IT Professional.

Regards,
ShamBhagwat

Hi,

I am not sure. But if you are able to type with this CDAC software in notepad then it should also work here. Maybe you can type Marathi text in the notepad and try to copy it in this site's editor. It should work.

Maybe others who have used the CDAC software can help.

Regards,
Amit.
