Dear All,
A true an inspiring story for the jvm members.
?Goodness is the only investment that never fails!?
A Good Doctor (Author Unknown, Source Unknown)
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal, he asked for a drink of water.
She thought he looked hungry and so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness. "He said, "Then I thank you from my heart."
The boy?s name was Howard Kelly. As he left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strengthened also. He had been ready to give up and quit. Years later, that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.
When he heard the name of the town she came from, he went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown, he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day, he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested from the business office to pass the final billing to him for approval. He looked at it, and then wrote something on the edge, and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words: "PAID IN FULL WITH ONE GLASS OF MILK...."
(Signed)
Dr. Howard Kelly."
May god bless all with akhand naam smaraan.

Dear All,
One more story for jvm members. comments are very much welcome.
The Richest Man In The Valley Author Unknown
A rich landowner named Carl often rode around his vast estate so he could congratulate himself on his great wealth. One day while riding around his estate on his favorite horse, he saw Hans, an old tenant farmer. Hans was sitting under a tree when Carl rode by.
Hans said, 'I was just thanking God for my food.'
Carl protested, 'If that is all I had to eat, I wouldn't feel like giving thanks.'
Hans replied, 'God has given me everything I need, and I am thankful for it.'
The old farmer added, 'It is strange you should come by today because I had a dream last night. In my dream a voice told me, 'The richest man in the valley will die tonight.' I don't know what it means, but I thought I ought to tell you.'
Carl snorted, 'Dreams are nonsense,' and galloped away, but he could not forget Hans' words: 'The richest man in the valley will die tonight.' He was obviously the richest man in the valley, so he invited his doctor to his house that evening. Carl told the doctor what Hans had said. After a thorough examination, the doctor told the wealthy landowner, 'Carl, you are as strong and healthy as a horse. There is no way you are going to die tonight.'
Nevertheless, for assurance, the doctor stayed with Carl, and they played cards through the night. The doctor left the next morning and Carl apologized for becoming so upset over the old man's dream. At about nine o'clock, a messenger arrived at Carl's door.
'What is it?' Carl demanded.
The messenger explained, 'It's about old Hans. He died last night in his sleep.'

Dear all, (vidaynil sir) A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop; who was standing off the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car. The mechanic shouted across the garage,? Hello Doctor! Please come over here for a minute." The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, "So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind 'em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So how come you get the big money, when you and me is doing basically the same work? "The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic ....... What did he say??? Guess......,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,? ? ... Scroll down for an answer, . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . He said: "Try to do it when the engine is running".

Dear All,
Below is positive message from napoleon hill foundation forwarded to jvm forum. IF LIFE HANDS YOU A LEMON, DON?T COMPLAIN, BUT INSTEAD MAKE LEMONADE TO SELL TO THOSE WHO ARE THIRSTY FROM COMPLAINING.
Wally Amos, the man whom many consider to be the father of the gourmet cookie industry, has turned lemons into lemonade so often in his life that in his official portrait he holds a pitcher in one hand and a glass of lemonade in the other. A perennial optimist, Amos refuses to acknowledge that obstacles are anything other than stepping-stones to success. In a career that has spanned several decades, he has made it to the pinnacle of success several times, only to lose everything and be forced to start over. But he?s never lost faith. "You have to have the trust and faith to let go and not agonize," he says. "Don?t waste your time worrying. Worry is not preparation. Analyze the situation and focus on solutions. There is always an answer."
May god bless all with ahkand naam smaraan.

Dear all ,
*This quote is related to nurturing kids topic in one of the Deepak Chopra's book-
ANYONE CAN COUNT THE SEEDS IN AN APPLE; NO ONE CAN COUNT THE APPLES IN A SEED.
*This is in continuation with GIVE and RECEIVE topic-
To receive graciously is an art that can not be faked. If it is more blessed to give than to receive,it is much harder to receive than to give. We receive ungraciously out of pride, feeling that we don't need anyone's help, handouts,or charity or out of some discomfort. These all are ego reactions and there is no need to have them once you realize that the giver is never giver, just as the receiver is never the receiver. Both stand in for spirit.
Every breath we take is a gift and in that realization,we see that receiving from another person is a symbol of receiving from God. Every gift is a gesture of love that stands in for divine love and should be received as such.
May God Bless All!
