- Shape your destiny:
A common man’s view towards life is fatalistic and hence unchangeable. But Mother Nature has gifted man complete freedom of choice. Each person has to decide how to use this freedom to suit his circumstances. None else can do it for him. Each one has to decide whether to use the stone to hit his foot, or to hit someone’s head, or to shape it into a beautiful idol. Consequently, along with others, each one has to bear the good or bad fruits of his actions. Hence the axiom ‘Shape your destiny’.

People of all religions in the world are engaged in ‘thinking’, whether they are aware about it or not. With the exception of a few, most people have negative, destructive and worrisome thoughts. Similarly, most people have thoughts of fear, unhappiness, hatred, jealousy, disrespect etc. In order to live happily, successfully and prosperously, people should substitute the above negative thoughts with positive and constructive thoughts, which includes thoughts of happiness and bliss. Similarly he should have thoughts of respect and tolerance for others.

On the basis of the principle: ‘As you think, so you become’, Saints have advised people to recite God’s Name to achieve bliss. To do this people use a rosary having 108 beads. If a person diligently reads and applies this guidance, he will achieve happiness, bliss and contentment in his life.

People of all types have various misunderstanding, which arises out of ignorance and blind faith. Ignorance leads to blind faith, false pride, incorrect thinking, envy and discontentment. In this short book, the author has guided briefly about various concepts and questions such as the purpose of human life, God, religion, destiny, ‘punya’, ‘paap’ (spiritual merit and demerit), etc.

Vijay absorbed and implemented these teachings and brought about a miraculous transformation in his thinking and hence his life. One example of how Vijay applied this knowledge is when he was waiting for an interview, he silently wished good about his fellow-mates who had appeared for the same interview.
